Dealing with Finances
The basis for a successful project is suitable financing. And that means from the beginning to the end of the project. Over and over again the EU finances projects in advance, but has to demand reimbursement, as reports or calculation documents are not accepted due to a lack of quality or completeness. This is especially problematic if jobs are affected and/or the money has already been spent.
In order to avoid this, three fundamental points have to be observed: 1. quality of work 2. punctual submission of all documents 3. use of funding in accordance with existing regulations
An enormous burden for researchers and finance departments is that all reports, calculation sheets and audit certificates from project partners have to be submitted to the EU within 45 days from the end of a reporting period. This has to be done to enable the reimbursement by the Commission of money that has been spent. Over 250 pages of finance regulations have to be abided by and complicated calculations have to be carried out.
The GABO:mi team is specialised in exactly these requirements, knows the regulations and reliably carries out the cost calculations for the project partner. Our Management-Information-System for EU projects :milliarium, a proven tool even in FP6, is well prepared to assist in this tasks in FP7. We provide you with the completed forms, which then only have to be certified by an external auditor or internal auditing department.
We are available for questions about the cost calculation by telephone or email almost round the clock.
