GABO:mi's services in contract negotiations

If the European Commission (EC) evaluates your proposal positively, the Coordinator of the project receives an invitation for negotiation. GABO:mi accompanies the Coordinator and the project partners through all phases of contract negotiations.

1. Evaluation Summary Report

The EC evaluates the proposal with the Evaluation Summary Report. It contains feedback and recommendations of the EC.

2. Attending to the recommendations

GABO:mi, together with the Coordinator, attends the recommendations of the Evaluation Summary Report. Some partners may be consulted when responding to very specific items.

3. Preparation of the Annex I

Annex I is an extension of the project proposal. It is an essential part of the contract documents. GABO:mi prepares the Annex I according to the guidelines of the European Commission.

4. Coordination: formal obligation

When preparing the Grant Agreement, the European Commission requires a formal obligation of all project partners.
GABO:mi centrally coordinates:

• Distribution of all relevant documents to all partners
• Collection of all partners' signatures
• Submission of the signed documents to the European Commission

5. A, Grant Agreement

The Grant Agreement is prepared by the European Commission. It is the central contract between the project consortium and the European Commission.

5. B, Consortium Agreement

The Consortium Agreement contains the "rules of the game" between the partners. GABO:mi prepares a draft of the Consortium Agreement and moderates contract negotiations.

6. Signing of the Grant Agreement

The Coordinator is the first to sign the Grant Agreement.

7. Coordination: Finalisation of the contract

In order to finalise a legally binding Grant Agreement and Consortium Agreement, both documents must be signed by all partners.
