EURenOmics - European Consortium for High-Throughput Research in Rare Kidney Diseases

Coordinated by Prof. Franz Schaefer from the Universitätsklinikum Heidelberg, Germany, this FP7 funded 5-year project started its work on 1 October 2012.
EURenOmics unites 19 academic and 8 SME partners from 10 European countries and the US in an international consortium of scientific excellence. As the highest ranking proposal (15 points), the project was awarded 12 million Euros.

Our third IMI JU – project

Our third IMI JU – project (Innovative Medicines Initiative Joint Undertaking) EU-AIMS (European Autism Interventions) started on 1 April 2012. EU-AIMS is coordinated by Roche in Basel and the King’s College London. In the next 5 years the 27 partners in EU-AIMS will work on new methods for the development of drugs for patients with autism spectrum disorders.

GABO:mi on rank 4 of the TOP 25 SMEs

On rank 4 (rank 14 last year) GABO:mi is the best enterprise in Germany belonging to TOP 25 SMEs (Small and Medium Enterprises) in Europe. This information is part of the latest FP7 Monitoring Report of the European Commission, published in August 2012.

European Lead Factory: IMI JU project launched on 1 January 2013
   
GABO:mi manages its 4 IMI JU project: The European Lead Factory, the largest pan-European drug discovery platform. The 5-year project is coordinated by Bayer HealthCare (Germany). Its funding volume amounts to 196m €. In this project an unprecedented collaboration between industry and academia should pave the way to easily translate findings into treatments for patients and should be the foundation for growth in drug development in Europe.  

BIOFECTOR – our first project in the area Knowledge-Based Bio-Economy (KBBE)
 
BIOFECTOR succeeded in a very tough competition and started on 1 September 2012. The scientific coordination will be done by the University of Hohenheim. The project deals with the use of bioeffectors - Resource Preservation by Application of BIOefFECTORs in European Crop Production.
